AEW Forced Into Major WrestleMania Week Change

Tony Khan AEW

WWE’s biggest show of the year is on the horizon and now WrestleMania has forced AEW into making a major change.

WrestleMania 41 will take place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20 with a whole week’s worth of events also being packed into WWE’s schedule. Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and the Hall of Fame will all take place in Vegas during this time as fans clamour to see Cody Rhodes defend his WWE Championship against John Cena in the main event.

The night one main event has now been decided as Paul Heyman has made CM Punk’s dream come true while WWE’s women have missed out on the honour once again. Charlotte Flair won the Royal Rumble and will challenge Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship and Bianca Belair will challenge for the Women’s World Title.

With all eyes turning to WWE for its showcase of the immortals, AEW has been forced into a major change in its own schedule.

AEW Moving Collision

TNT is currently listing AEW Collision as airing on Thursday, April 17 rather than its usual Saturday night time slot which would see it go head-to-head with WrestleMania. Collision is set to take place as a stand-alone show which means it is likely to air live.

The preceding Dynamite on April 16 is being labelled Spring BreakThru as AEW celebrates breaking a major WCW milestone.
