The December 24 episode of AEW Dynamite was taped on December 20 at the Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center.

Due to the holiday season, AEW pre-taped the episode, allowing its talent and staff to take some time off and be with their loved ones before returning to action full-time.

AEW Dynamite Taping Results For December 24

Before the Dynamite taping, AEW President Tony Khan made his way out to greet the fans, getting a big cheer.

In his speech, Khan thanked the CEO and President of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, drawing boos, possibly due to Netflix showing an interest in buying WBD.

In October 2024, it was announced that Tony Khan had signed a new TV rights deal with WBD to continue broadcasting Dynamite on TBS and Collision on TNT.

Match #1: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Orange Cassidy (Continental Classic tournament Blue League match)

Cassidy threw his sunglasses to the floor. Takeshita picked them up and tried to wear them, but Cassidy rolled him up for an unsuccessful pinfall. At some point during the match, Takeshita got busted open and was bleeding from his mouth. With less than five minutes remaining in the allotted time limit, Takeshita defeated Cassidy.

Match #2: Mascara Dorada defeated Roderick Strong (Continental Classic tournament Blue League match)

Renee Paquette introduced AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander and her Worlds End opponent Jamie Hayter. After Statlander cut a promo, Hayter responded, resulting in both women getting in each other’s faces. They were separated by the referees.

Match #3: MJF defeated Dustin Waller

MJF competed in his first match since losing to Mark Briscoe at All Out in September. After the match, he asked for a mic, but before he could speak, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page came out and cut a promo. He was followed by Swerve Strickland.

Hangman headed towards the ring, intent on attacking MJF with his chain, who stepped outside the ring. Strickland and Hangman met inside.

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe spoke to all three of his Worlds End challengers while appearing on the screen. While Page and Strickland were distracted, MJF tried to attack, but they countered him. Swerve then cut a promo, comparing MJF to Diddy due to his habit of thriving on fan attention.

Renee Paquette interviewed the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions “The Babes of Wrath” Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron backstage.

Match #4: Bandido defeated Ricochet to win the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

After the match, Tao Liona attacked Bandido, but Brody King made the save. Brody handed Bandido the ring before they celebrated.

Match #5: Marina Shafir defeated Mina Shirakawa

The referee was forced to call the match after Mina struggled to lift her hand to tap out. Despite winning, Shafir attacked Shirakawa, resulting in Tony Storm coming out. Shafir knocked Storm out.

Match #6: Jack Perry defeated Pac (Continental Classic tournament Gold League match)

After the match, Luchasaurus celebrated with Jack Perry, handing out presents from his bag.
