AEW Dynamite Match Spoiled By Another Promotion
Has a major match with serious implications for AEW All Out been spoiled by another company?
All Out will see several huge matches take place as Hangman Adam Page puts his AEW World Championship on the line against Kyle Fletcher. Toni Storm will be forced to take on all comers as she defends her AEW Women’s World Title in a four-way match.
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will team in their hometown of Toronto to face FTR, while the AEW Unified Championship will be on the line as well.
Kazuchika Okada was part of a six-man tournament, with the winners of three matches moving on to All Out to compete for the title he currently holds. Okada and his Don Callis Family stablemate Konosuke Takeshita have already qualified for that match, with one space left for the winner of the bout between Mascara Dorada and The Beast Mortos, which is due to take place on the September 17th edition of Dynamite.
But the result of that match might have accidentally been confirmed.
AEW Dynamite Match Spoiled?
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer pointed out that the final match in the tournament might already have been spoiled as a result of changes to a CMLL-affiliated show:
On that show, one of the biggest matches is Mascara Dorada against Mortos. The interesting thing was the winner of that goes with Okada and Takeshita on the pay-per-view on Saturday for the Unified Title. What happened was, there was a CMLL-affiliated show in Mexico on the same night [as All Out] and Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and Neon were going to team up in a trios match.
Today, it came out that Mascara Dorada was taken off the card and Mortos was put on the card, which is interesting.
So, before Dorada, you would say couldn’t win because he was booked in the main event on a show in Mexico. Now he’s no longer booked in that main event, but Mortos is booked in the semi-main event.
