AEW is all set to host its go-home episode of Dynamite as the focus shifts towards Full Gear this weekend. A special three-hour episode of Dynamite will emanate directly from the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.

It is sure to be an exciting episode with multiple high-stakes matches on offer. Boston’s own, 13-belt Mone, is also set to compete on tonight’s show against Red Velvet, who has been cleared for in-ring action.

The match between these two has a lot at stake as it’s for the Undisputed ROH Women’s Television Championship. Mercedes Mone won the Interim Championship in Red Velvet’s absence and will now compete against her to establish herself as the Undisputed champion.

One of the highlights of the show is expected to be the return of former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. He will join forces with the Jurassic Express at Full Gear this weekend in a trios match to take on Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks.

The Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament also continues tonight with two quarter-finals scheduled for the show. Moreover, Bobby Lashley will take on Ricochet for the number one spot in the Casino Gauntlet match. The Winner of the Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear will be crowned the first-ever AEW National Champion.

Bobby Lashley vs Ricochet kicks off the show

The two former WWE stars have been in a heated rivalry for months now and met each other in singles action tonight. Ricochet opened the show, claiming that he would become the first-ever AEW National Champion, but Lashley cut his promo short, and the scheduled match between the two began.

They were fighting for the number one spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match for the National Championship at Full Gear this weekend. Lashley was the heavy favourite heading into the match and proved why as he defeated Ricochet with relative ease. He slammed the Demand member with a chokeslam before hitting him with a spear for the win.

Young Bucks and Josh Alexander take on SkyFlight before Full Gear

Matt and Nick Jackson have been teaming with Josh Alexander of the Don Callis Family for several weeks now. The trio is set to face Kenny Omega and the Jurassic Express this weekend at Full Gear. They got a bit of practice in tonight as they took on the team of Scorpio Sky, Dante, and Darius Martin.

Fans were treated to a high-paced match, which wasn’t a surprise considering the wrestlers involved in the match. Both teams got plenty of offense in the match, with SkyFlight getting close to the win on multiple occasions. However, it wasn’t their day as Josh Alexander locked in the ankle lock on Dante Martin, earning the victory for his side, although the drama was far from over.

Young Bucks to join the Don Callis Family?

The leader of the Don Callis Family came out to congratulate The Bucks and Alexander on their win, along with some members of the group. Callis offered The Bucks a spot in his group, but they didn’t accept straightaway.

They seemed cautious about accepting his offer, but he reminded them about the good it would do to the former AEW World Tag Team Champions. However, the moment was interrupted before they could give their answer.

Kenny Omega is back!!!

The Cleaner was scheduled to appear on tonight’s show, and he made a memorable return to a huge pop from the crowd. Omega walked down the ramp with a chair in his hand. He took out a few members of the group, but the numbers game was vastly against him.

He was overpowered by the Don Callis Family, and Josh Alexander was assaulting the former AEW World Champion. Callis ordered him to stop and asked the Bucks to continue the assault on their former friend. However, before they could execute the attack, Jurassic Express came out to his rescue just when the Bucks were about to hit Omega with the EVP Trigger.

Shelton Benjamin to face Bobby Lashley at Full Gear 2025

The next match on the card was for the number two spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at Full Gear 2025 which saw Shelton Benjamin take on Speedball Mike Bailey. The high-flying Bailey proved to be a tough opponent for Benjamin.

However, Benjamin’s brute power was too much for Bailey to counter with his quickfire moves as The Hurt Syndicate member came away with the win, albeit with a slight help from MVP, who was doing commentary for the match.

This makes things interesting for Full Gear as both members of The Hurt Syndicate will face each other in the match, as Lashley won the number one spot. Only one of them can become the inaugural AEW National Champion.

Death Riders vs Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong

Following in the aftermath of last week’s brutal Blood and Guts match involving these men, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli took on Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong. The match carried on from the hard-hitting theme that was being followed in their Blood and Guts match.

Both teams pushed each other to their limit but the Death Riders present at ringside proved too much for a distraction from the faces. Cassidy took out both Daniel Garcia and Jon Moxley but Wheeler Yuta baited him into Claudio Castagnoli before Moxley won the match for his team with a bulldog choke.

Kyle O’Reilly challenges Jon Moxley to a match at Full Gear

Right after the match ended, O’Reilly came to Cassidy’s rescue and trapped Moxley into an ankle lock, the same manuever he used to make Moxley tap out last week. He held on to the hold despite efforts from other Death Riders members to get him to break the hold.

A massive brawl broke out between the two groups which allowed Death Riders to retreat, but not before Kyle O’Reilly issued a challenge to Moxley. He has his eyes set on Mox in a No Holds Barred match at Full Gear and vowed to make him tap once again at the event.
