AEW is bringing back one of its trademark matches with MJF’s Dynamite Diamond ring on the line.
The first Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal aired on only the 8th edition of AEW’s flagship show and saw MJF and Adam Page named the two winners who went onto face off the following week with the Dynamite Diamond ring on the line. MJF won that bout and has held onto the ring which has helped him win match after match ever since.
In 2020, MJF overcame Orange Cassidy to hold onto the ring, and in 2021 The Salt of the Earth defeated Dante Martin of Top Flight. In 2022, MJF had the most to lose in the Dynamite Diamond Ring match as he also put his AEW World Championship on the line against Ricky Starks but again escaped the victor.
AEW stars have their eyes on MJF’s diamond ring
On the Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite, MJF came face-to-face with Bullet Club Gold as he implored Jay White to return the AEW World Title belt that he stole from the champion. Juice Robinson interjected and revealed that the next Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal will take place on the 18th of October edition of Dynamite and that he would be a part of it.
Robinson then teased MJF that he’d hit him with a roll of quarters which caused the champion to lose his temper as it played on the real-life bullying he has spoken about in the past.
No matter what happens in that match, MJF will put his AEW World Championship on the line at Full Gear against Switchblade Jay White.
