AEW Double Title Dream Match Comes With Strange Condition
A double title dream match is coming to the AEW fifth anniversary Dynamite show but it’s not as straightforward as it might seem.
Bryan Danielson captured the AEW World Championship at All In and has claimed that he will be ending his full-time wrestling career when he finally loses the gold.
Danielson has already survived the challenge of Jack Perry at All Out but any celebration for that win was short-lived. The Blackpool Combat Club viciously turned on Bryan Danielson with Jon Moxley trying to suffocate him with a plastic bag.
Moxley has since defeated Darby Allin to claim his guaranteed AEW World Title shot and will challenge for the gold at WrestleDream on October 12th – but it might not be Bryan Danielson who is champion by then.
A meditative Bryan Danielson took to social media to lay out a challenge for the fifth anniversary of AEW Dynamite as he wants one more match against an old enemy – Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada.

AEW Double Title Match Confirmed – But Only For 20 Minutes
AEW later confirmed that Bryan Danielson will face Kazuchika Okada one more time on the fifth anniversary of Dynamite and both the AEW World and Continental Championships will be on the line. However, due to the rules that the Continental Title is fought under, Okada’s title will only be on the line for the first twenty minutes of the match. AEW Continental Championship matches have a twenty-minute time limit.
Bryan Danielson and Kazuchika Okada have clashed twice in one-on-one matches with the American Dragon defeating The Rainmaker at Forbidden Door 2023 despite suffering a broken arm early in the match. At WrestleKingdom in January 2024, Okada returned the favour by defeating Danielson in the Tokyo Dome.
