AEW Figures “Don’t Give A F*ck” About Tony Khan Taunts

Tony Khan AEW neck brace

AEW and Tony Khan remain unmoved.

On the February 25 edition of NXT, Ricky Saints, formerly Ricky Starks, made his in-ring WWE debut. The star had joined the company just 24 hours after it was announced that he’d been released from his AEW contract.

Following that surprise appearance, the star held a contract signing on February 18, where his name was officially changed to Ricky Saints.

Once in the ring, Saints teamed with Je’Von Evans to defeat Ethan Page and Wes Lee. With Page and Evans having their own private battle, Saints was left to hit the Rochambeau on Lee to score the win for his team.

AEW Unbothered By Tony Khan Chants

One of the biggest talking points coming out of the match was the very loud and very noticeable “Tony fumbled” chants aimed at AEW boss Tony Khan in relation to his handling of Saints.

The chants came across loud and clear on television and were an immediate talking point on social media. However, it seems they were much less of a talking point in AEW.

As noted by Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful’s The Hump podcast, people in AEW “don’t give a f*ck” about the chants.

“They don’t give a f*ck, man. I don’t know what to tell you guys. They don’t care, like they don’t care. I haven’t heard one peep about it. I asked two people specifically and one person just sent an eye roll back. They were just like, ‘Whatever, we’ve got a show tomorrow.’ That’s it,”

During a recent interview, Ricky Saints said his AEW release was “personal,” commenting that if it had been professional, it would have played out differently. Saints spent much of 2024 and the early weeks of 2025 on the AEW sidelines despite repeatedly insisting he was ready to work.
