AEW Continental Classic Start Date Revealed
AEW has now revealed the date that the 2025 edition of the Continental Classic will begin.
The first-ever Continental Classic was held in 2023 and culminated in Eddie Kingston facing off with Jon Moxley at Worlds End in the final. Kingston won that tournament to win the Continental Crown and become the first-ever AEW Continental Champion.
He eventually lost that title to Kazuchika Okada, who held the gold into the 2024 edition of the Continental Classic. The Rainmaker won the tournament with a victory over Will Ospreay to add to his four G1 Climax victories in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
AEW Continental Classic Begins Imminently
Now, Okada is the reigning AEW Unified Champion after he brought together the International and Continental titles at All In Texas with a win over Kenny Omega. Okada will be defending the Continental Championship in this year’s Continental Classic, and on the November 19th edition of Dynamite, AEW announced that the tournament would begin on the November 26th edition of Dynamite.
No competitors have been announced as of yet, but in previous years, the Classic has seen twelve AEW stars compete in two leagues of six. Last year, the winners of each group faced the runners-up of the other group in the semi-finals before those winners clashed in the final.
