AEW Continental Classic Finals Decided (SPOILERS)

Kazuchika Okada AEW

Worlds End will see the finals take place in the AEW Continental Classic and now after a taped edition of Dynamite, we now know the 4 men who will compete in them.

For weeks, 12 of AEW’s top stars have competed in two leagues for the chance to move on to the semi-finals and final at Worlds End to become the AEW Continental Champion.

Eddie Kingston won the inaugural Continental Classic in 2023 before he ended up losing the Continental Title to Kazuchika Okada. As the holder of that belt, Okada was the first man entered into the 2024 Continental Classic as he set his stall out to become the greatest tournament wrestler of all time following his numerous successes in NJPW’s G1 Climax.

Juice Robinson was pulled from the Continental Classic early on due to injury and was replaced by Komander with Tony Khan calling the high-flying star the first alternate for the competition.

AEW Continental Classic Finals Decided

AEW has taped Dynamite On 34th Street to air on Christmas Day and that show saw the final 5 Continental Classic matches take place. In the Gold League, Will Ospreay defeated Brody King, Komander pulled off the upset on Claudio Castagnoli, and Ricochet went to a time limit draw with Darby Allin.

In the Blue League, Kazuchika Okada defeated Shelton Benjamin while Kyle Fletcher pinned TNT Champion Daniel Garcia.

All of that means Kyle Fletcher wins the Blue League with 12 points and will clash with his old friend turned enemy Will Ospreay who finished as the Gold League’s runner-up. Ospreay finished his tournament on 9 points, the same as Claudio Castagnoli but the English star progresses as he defeated the Death Rider earlier in the competition.

Ricochet’s final point in his draw with Darby Allin ensures he wins the Gold League and he will face Blue League runner-up Kazuchika Okada.

The winners of those semi-final matches will meet in the final of the Continental Classic which will take place on the same night at Worlds End.
