AEW has many top stars who are currently out with an injury. The promotion’s two biggest stars, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay, have been away from the company due to injury issues. Another such AEW wrestler is Adam Cole.

Cole has been very unlucky with injuries during his time in the All Elite promotion. He was ruled out of action indefinitely after suffering another concussion at All In: Texas.

Recently, Tony Khan expressed hope that Adam can return to the promotion in the near future, while he was talking on the Ariel Halwani Show. However, another report claims that Cole may have to retire pernamently.

Adam Cole may face early retirement in AEW

Reknowned wrestling journalist, Bryan Alvarez addressed Cole’s future recently. Speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Alvarez shared a grim update regarding him.

“The feeling is that he may not ever wrestle again, and it’s a very strong feeling in that direction. We shall see, but he’s still dealing with a lot of different things. All the best to him. What’s most important is the brain in his head. Wrestling is wrestling.” Alvarez said.

If Cole has to retire following his recurring injury issues then he might also take up some other role within the promotion like they did with Bryan Danielson.
