AEW Collision Spoilers – October 5th, 2024

The road to AEW WrestleDream continues.

With WrestleDream just around the corner, AEW rolled into the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio for the latest Collision and Ring of Honor taping.

WresltleDream is set to take place on October 12th and there’s been a great deal of speculation the event could be Bryan Danielson’s last as a full-time wrestler. In the main event, Danielson is scheduled to put his AEW World Title on the line against Jon Moxley.

Elsewhere, Will Ospreay will defend the International Title against Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita following a controversial finish to his match on Dynamite.

AEW Collision Results

During Collision, the card for WrestleDream continued to become clearer, with Darby Allin laying down an open challenge for the event. While tensions between Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander hit new heights hinting at a match between them soon.

At the taping, Private Party earned a shot at the Young Bucks and the World Tag Team Titles at the upcoming pay-per-view.

There were also wins for the likes of The Outrunners, Hologram, Wheeler Yuta and The Conglomeration.

  • Darby Allin def Johnny TV — Darby grabbed the mic and made an open challenge to anyone for WrestleDream. No one answered. Darby was leaving when Brody King attacked, so that’s seemingly set for WrestleDream.
  • Christian Cage cut a promo running down the crowd & saying Nick Wayne would wrestle later in the night.
  • An FTR and The Outrunners vignette aired.
  • The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) def Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson & James Drake)
  • Willow Nightingale def Trish Adora — Women’s World Champion Mariah May sat in the front row. Willow and Mariah fought after the match before Mariah escaped.
  • A backstage segment with Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir aired.
  • Wheeler Yuta def Beef (w/Anthony Henry)
  • The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly) def The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese & Ari Daivari)
  • Mercedes Mone & Kamille were interviewed backstage. Kris Statlander confronted them.
  • Hologram def Komander, Nick Wayne & Action Andretti in a four-way — Hologram pinned Andretti.
  • Kris Statlander def Zoey Lynn in a quick squash — Mercedes Mone and Kamille came out and cut a promo on Statlander before Kamille laid her out.
  • Winners face The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship at WrestleDream: Private Party def Top Flight & House of Black.
