AEW Collision Debut Ratings Revealed
After months of rumors and weeks of build-up, AEW’s newest show, Collision, took place on Saturday 17th of June, and now the television ratings for that debut are in.
Wrestlenomics has reported that the ratings for the debut edition of Collision on TNT earned 816,000 viewers and a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 key demo. That placed it at number three for the night in original programming in the demo.
That compares to AEW Dynamite’s most recent rating which saw the company’s flagship show achieve 832,000 viewers and 0.3 rating in the same demo.
The debut edition of Collision was built around the return to AEW of CM Punk who opened the show in front of a raucous Chicago crowd. Punk implored anyone to tell him when he was lying as he got several things off his chest and alluded to both his on and off-screen rivals in the company.
Punk returned for the main event of the show where he teamed with AEW Tag Team Champions FTR to defeat the trio of Samoa Joe, Juice Robinson, and Jay White.
There is some good news for other AEW programming as two of the company’s shows have made it to the ballot for a 2023 Emmy nomination.
