AEW Champion Vacates Title Ahead Of All In Due To Medical Issue
AEW All In: Texas is going through a major change in lineup.
Hours before the event was set to go underway, President Tony Khan announced that Adam Cole was not fit to compete and would vacate his TNT title.
Not much was disclosed about the injury, but it is grave enough to prevent participation on his side.
The card featured Cole as the TNT Champion defending his belt against Kyle Fletcher in Arlington, Texas.
It was also during a match in May between the two wrestlers when Fletcher botched a powerbomb, resulting in the back of Cole’s head colliding with the ring apron.
It is confirmed that Adam Cole will not compete at AEW All In on Saturday, although it is unclear if it is related to a previous injury.
New Match Added To AEW All In: Texas
AEW All In: Texas will crown a new TNT Champion.
With the title now vacated, Cole’s opponent, Kyle Fletcher, has been included in a four-way match, which will also feature Sammy Guevara, Dustin Rhodes, and Daniel Garcia.
The TNT Championship is one of the four title matches scheduled for the pay-per-view. With no other major injuries reported, other title matches will take place, as planned.
Veteran wrestler Kenny Omega will challenge Kazuchika Okada in a Winner Takes All match.
The AEW Women’s World Championship match will see “Timeless” Toni Storm defend her title against TBS Champion Mercedes Mone.
In the main event, Jon Moxley will defend his AEW World Title against “Hangman” Adam Page in a Texas Death Match.
