AEW Champion Survives Intense Match On Dynamite New Year’s Smash
Jon Moxley won big at AEW World’s End this past weekend as he brought an end to a turbulent few weeks in his All Elite wrestling career with a massive win over Kazuchika Okada.
The leader of the Death Riders pulled a double duty on World’s End as he competed in the semi-finals and final of the Continental Classic, winning both bouts and being crowned the AEW Continental Champion.
He defeated two members of the Don Callis Family at the pay-per-view, as he defeated Kyle Fletcher in the semi-finals. He took on another Don Callis Family member tonight on Dynamite.
Jon Moxley wins big on AEW Dynamite
Moxley faced Josh Alexander in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator match on tonight’s special edition of Dynamite. The match was wrestled under Continental Classic rules, which meant no outside interference and a 20-minute time limit.
Alexander had a slight advantage in the match as he needed to either beat or just last the entire 20-minute time limit to earn a shot at Mox’s title. He dominated much of the match as a result of Mox’s gruesome double duty this past weekend.

However, Moxley manged to get the win despite having the odds against him. It seemed like Alexander would be heading towards a win but Mox held out and managed to knock Alexander out with a Sleeper hold.
