AEW Bringing In Ex-WCW Rap Star To Dynamite
AEW recently celebrated beating a huge WCW milestone, and now Tony Khan is bringing in a controversial star from the defunct promotion.
During WCW’s heyday, the company produced 288 episodes of its flagship Nitro show, which competed with WWE Raw as part of the Monday Night Wars. On April 16 in Boston, AEW sailed past that milestone as Spring Breakthru marked the 289th episode of Dynamite.
That show saw Josh Alexander make his surprise AEW debut as he battled Adam Page in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Page picked up the win, and after the bout, Alexander joined The Don Callis Family and helped in laying Page out.
There was a huge title change on the show as well as The Opps dethroned the Death Riders as the AEW Trios Champions when Samoa Joe choked out Jon Moxley.
With the landmark show putting WCW back in people’s minds, a rap star affiliated with the company has confirmed they’ll be in attendance when Dynamite heads to New Orleans.
Master P Heading To AEW
Rap star Master P took to social media to reveal that he’ll be at Dynamite, where he’ll see The Young Bucks in their first match in AEW since October 2024:
Tomorrow night @aew is in New Orleans, and I’ll be in the house for all the action Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite comes to @LakefrontArena, home of #NOLAsTeam and @PrivateersHoops

Master P is long-talked about as a former WCW star, but the rap star only actually made two appearances with the promotion. Master P’s No Limit Soldiers stable consisted of Konnan, Rey Mysterio, Swoll, Chase, and 4×4 came into being in the summer of 1999 and feuded with Curt Hennig’s West Texas Rednecks. The feud died a death and the No Limit Soldiers fizzled out after only a couple of months.
