AEW Announce Women’s Death Match

Toni Storm AEW

If you thought Blood & Guts was too much for the women of AEW, get ready to clutch those pearls tighter than ever, a death match is coming.

For the first time ever, the women of AEW got the chance to compete in Blood & Guts, and it was every bit as violent as any double-ring cage match featuring the company’s men.

The team of Mercedes Mone, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue picked up the win when Toni Storm surrendered to stop the brutal assault on her tag team partner, Mina Shirakawa.

Shirakawa and Storm are looking to get revenge in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament, and at Full Gear, they managed to move one step closer to that.

The four semi-finalists in that tournament met with the winners getting to determine a stipulation for their semi-final bout. The Timeless Love Bombs of Shirakawa and Storm picked up the win, and on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite, Toni Storm picked her poison.

After Jon Moxley won in his opening Continental Classic match, Storm arrived to tell Marina Shafir that when she and Bayne meet the Timeless Love Bombs in their semi-final bout, it will be a Hardcore Holiday Death Match.

The winners of that bout now know that they will face the Babes of Wrath – Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron – in the final of the tournament.
