AEW All In Forced To Go Head-To-Head With WWE Show
It seems that WWE and AEW are going head-to-head once again on the one night a year that Tony Khan probably really didn’t want any competition.
WWE and AEW were engaged in the Wednesday Night Wars for over two years as Dynamite and NXT went head-to-head in a battle for ratings supremacy. That ended when NXT moved to Tuesday nights and since then any rare head-to-heads have been soundly won by WWE whether that’s premium live events clashing with Collision on Saturdays or NXT and Dynamite facing off again on the odd occasion one show has to switch nights.
WWE resurrected Saturday Night’s Main Event in December 2024 with its nostalgia-laced show seeing Jesse Ventura make his return to commentary in the company.
Now Peacock has released more dates for future Saturday Night Main Event shows and if you don’t think there’s a wrestling war going, then you might want to think again.
WWE Gives AEW Competition For All In
The first of these will take place on January 25 in San Antonio, Texas. WWE has announced two more dates with locations for these shows yet to be confirmed. One will take place on May 24 and the other on July 12.
May 24 is the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend which is the same weekend AEW has traditionally held its Double Or Nothing pay-per-view meaning a clash could be on the cards. One clash that is definitely happening is on July 12 as that is when AEW All In Texas takes place at Globe Life Field.
No matches have been confirmed for that massive AEW show but it seems Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada could reignite their rivalry in Texas.
