Blood & Guts Match Ends With Title Match Given For AEW All In
The 2024 edition of the AEW Blood & Guts match ended with one wrestler being granted a title match at the All In PPV.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite in Nashville, the annual Blood & Guts match took place. It was The Elite – Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson & “Hangman” Adam Page doing battle against Team AEW – Darby Allin, Mark Briscoe, Swerve Strickland, Max Caster & Anthony Bowens
Blood & Guts is All Elite Wrestling’s way of having a WarGames match. There are two rings with a double cage surrounding it and a roof is on top of it. Two guys start the match and every five minutes, somebody else joins the match. You can’t win the match until all ten guys are in the match.
It was a matchup that went over 40 minutes with plenty of blood and creative weapon usage throughout the match. Three guys were taken out with table bumps since Swerve Strickland and “Hangman” Adam Page went through a table by the ramp. Anthony Bowens also was sent off the cage and through a stack of four tables that were set up on the floor.
Even though it was down to 4 members of The Elite against three guys on the AEW team, the guys representing All Elite Wrestling found a way to win. That’s because they found some handcuffs in briefcases that The Young Bucks brought into the ring.
Darby Allin Finds A Creative Way To Face Jack Perry For The TNT Title At AEW All In
The finish of the match saw the All Elite Wrestling team handcuff the TNT Champion Jack Perry to the cage. They also managed to neutralize both of the Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada as well.
Allin was focused on Perry, who Allin had challenged to a TNT Title match last week on Collision. Allin put some gasoline on Perry, who was handcuffed to the cage. Allin threatened to put Perry on fire if he didn’t give Allin a TNT Title match at All In. Initially, Perry refused to do it.
That’s when Matthew Jackson of The Young Bucks decided to speak up. Matthew told Allin he was going too far and said that Perry would give Allin a TNT TItle shot at All In. Matthew had the authority to do it since he’s an Executive Vice President of AEW. Allin told Matt to quit or Allin will set Perry on fire, so Matt said: “We Quit.” That was the end of the match.
It was a big night for the team representing All Elite Wrestling because they picked up the victory in the Blood & Guts Match while Jack Perry will have to defend the TNT TItle against Darby Allin at AEW All In on August 25th.
