AEW Reach Agreement In Principle Over New TV Deal

AEW Tony Khan

As speculation surrounding AEW’s future with Warner Brothers Discovery mounts, it seems an agreement – of sorts – has been agreed between the sides.

Since AEW began producing weekly television in October 2019, the company has aired on TNT and TBS in the United States. As well as its flagship Dynamite show on Wednesdays, over the last five years Tony Khan’s company has launched Rampage and Collision as well with them also appearing on WBD’s networks.

2024 is a huge year for AEW as the company has been in talks for months over a new rights deal for their US TV coverage and it is widely believed an exclusivity period between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Brothers Discovery has come to an end.

AEW Come To TV Deal Agreement

Now SEScoops has reported that there is an “agreement in principle” between AEW and WBD over a new TV deal. The report noted that according to TV industry insiders, the deal would see the promotion’s content head to the MAX streaming platform – that would include the company’s pay-per-views which there will be nine of in 2024.

There was an emphasis that this agreement was on paper but could yet change as the two sides get closer to making it official. The report also noted that while accurate numbers on the deal were not available it was said to be on the “middle to high side” of what each side was negotiating for.
