AEW Adds Two More Stars To Official Roster
AEW has added two popular stars to it’s official roster.
Vincent and Dutch, collectively known as The Righteous, have been a visible presence in AEW in recent weeks, including an unsuccessful tilt at the ROH Tag Team Championship at AEW WrestleDream. The duo battled MJF in a handicap match at the huge event in Seattle, Washington on October 1st.
Most recently the pair were introduced by WWE Hall Of Famer Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts as partners for Lance Archer on the 11th November edition of AEW Collision. It is not yet known if Vincent and Dutch will have a permanent affiliation with Roberts.
The trio were bested on the night by the formidable team of Sting, Darby Allin and Adam Copeland but can take some consolation in the addition of The Righteous to the official AEW roster in the aftermath.
Latest AEW Roster Members Dismiss Wyatt Family Comparison
With their mysterious persona, some fans have drawn comparisons between The Righteous and popular former WWE faction The Wyatt Family.
Speaking in a recent appearance on the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Dutch dismissed the comparison whilst paying tribute to the talents of the late Bray Wyatt:
“Everything’s going great, couldn’t be better. We’re officially signed with AEW now. So, yeah, it’s a big deal. Big deal for us, and we wanna create something that people haven’t seen in a long time.
I know we’re gonna be getting comparisons to The Wyatt Family and all this and that, but, everything’s been done already, and there will never be another Bray Wyatt. Nothing will ever compare to him or his creativity or the way that his brain works.”
