Adam Page Makes Peace With Swerve Strickland

Adam Page is ready to let go of the past.

At All In Texas, “Hangman” Adam Page finally recaptured the AEW World Championship. Not only did the victory take Page back to the top of the AEW mountain, it also represented the culmination of a more than two-year journey through a dark mental wilderness.

That journey saw him repeatedly go to war with Swerve Strickland, and by his own admission, lose track of what’s more important.

However, in a wild main event, Strickland came to Page’s aid and watched on from ringside as he dispatched Jon Moxley and emotionally raised the World Championship belt above his head once more.

During the All In media scrum, Page was asked by Raj Prashad of Yahoo about his complicated relationship with Strickland. He explained that while he doesn’t yet know his long-time rival’s motives for his apparent change of heart, he’s happy to leave some of that troubled past behind him.

“I’m going to have to think about that for a long time before I know an answer. He ruined my life for so long. I did the same to him. Tonight, he chose on his own to make my life better. I don’t know if that is for me, I don’t know if it’s for this company, or I don’t know if it’s for himself. I might never really figure that out. It does feel good to be able to let go a little bit of the past and be excited about the future.”

Also at All In, Strickland teamed with Will Ospreay to beat The Young Bucks, meaning that the Jackson brothers have been stripped of their EVP status.

Next up for Page could be a date with MJF after the Salt of the Earth won the Men’s Casino Gauntlet Match earlier on the same show.
