Adam Page Injured On AEW Dynamite

The end of AEW Dynamite clearly did not go as planned in Cincinnati as the main event had to be called off due to a serious injury to Hangman Adam Page.

It was Title Tuesday in Cincinnati with AEW’s flagship show moving nights and going head-to-head once again with WWE NXT. A stacked show full of title matches was scheduled with Toni Storm retaining her Interim AEW Women’s World Championship, Chris Jericho keeping hold of the ROH World Title against Dalton Castle, and Death Triangle seeing off the challenge of Best Friends and Orange Cassidy to remain AEW Trios Champions.

The night’s main event however was hometown hero Jon Moxley putting his AEW World Championship on the line against Hangman Adam Page. Page took the fight to Moxley early on, meeting him in the crowd during Moxley’s entrance.

The battle soon turned bloody with Moxley busted open. In the ring, the match continued until Jon Moxley levelled Page with a clothesline that turned him inside out and left him lying eerily still on the mat. Referee Paul Turner called in ringside doctor Dr. Sampson and the bell was soon rung to end the contest with over ten minutes of Dynamite still to air.

Jon Moxley was declared the winner and he soon took to the microphone to cut an expletive-laden promo on the man with the AEW World Title in his sights, MJF. MJF soon answered Moxley’s remarks by signalling his intent to cash in his casino ladder match chip for a shot at the AEW World Title at Full Gear.
