Adam Page In Injury Scare On AEW Dynamite
Fans were concerned about Hangman Adam Page.
The October 23rd episode of Dynamite opened with a fired-up Hangman Adam Page being interviewed in the ring by Tony Schiavone. When Schiavone brought up Page’s defeat to Jay White at WrestleDream, and his costing White a match against Christian Cage, Page grabbed the microphone.
Page quickly took aim at White and the Bang Bang Gang before being jumped from behind by Colten Gunn. Despite this, Page got back in control and went to hit Gunn with his belt before White and Juice Robinson ran in and made the save.
As Page limped away, White highlighted the injury and said he should ice his leg as they’ll see each other very soon.
Given his very obvious limp and the discomfort he was in, some fans wondered whether Page had suffered a legitimate injury. However, it seems that wasn’t the case.
Adam Page Doing Fine
During the episode of Wrestling Observer Radio after the show, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed Page’s apparent injury. Despite the concern for the star, it was surmised that he was fine, and simply the damage from his match with Page at WrestleDream.
Bryan Alvarez: “During the brawl, Hangman started limping, and he actually wasn’t limping until the brawl.”
Dave Meltzer: “When he came out, he was walking gingerly, but he was limping bad at the end.”
Alvarez: “He was selling. He got me and apparently a lot of people with that one, but that was selling the Seattle match. So apparently, he’s fine.”
Elsewhere on the show, Chris Jericho defeated Mark Briscoe to claim the ROH World Championship.
