Adam Page Gets Surprise AEW WrestleDream Challenger

Hangman Adam Page AEW World Champion

Hangman Adam Page now knows who he’ll be defending his AEW World Championship against at WrestleDream.

Adam Page captured the AEW Men’s World Championship for the second time in his career at All In Texas as he freed the title from the clutches of Jon Moxley and the Death Riders.

Since then, Page has successfully defended his gold against Moxley as well as MJF, Lee Moriarty, and reigning TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher.

But now it’s more of a friend than foe that awaits Page at WrestleDream.

Samoa Joe Furious With Adam Page

On the 6th anniversary edition of Dynamite, Adam Page teamed with The Opps’ pair of Powerhouse Hobbs and Samoa Joe to defeat the Death Riders in a huge trios match. After the bout, Page handed over the AEW Trios Title belts to Hobbs and Joe, but Joe’s belt ended up falling to the mat.

An angry Joe then confronted Page, and things quickly broke down into a fight that had to be stopped by security. Page then challenged Joe to a match for the AEW Men’s World Title at WrestleDream, and that challenge was accepted.

Samoa Joe last held the AEW World Championship in April 2024 when his four-month reign came to an end at the hands of Swerve Strickland. Page and Joe have never faced off with one another in a one-on-one match in their careers.

WrestleDream will also see Jon Moxley look to end Darby Allin once and for all as they meet in an I Quit match.
