Adam Page Brands AEW Star “One Of The Worst Humans I’ve Ever Met”
“Hangman” Adam Page continues to grapple with hatred and respect.
At Double or Nothing, “Hangman” Adam Page took a giant step back toward the top of AEW.
In the finals of the Owen Hart Cup, Page defeated Will Ospreay to not only win the tournament but also book a shot at Jon Moxley and the AEW World Title at All In Texas. The star last held the title back in 2022, and since then, his time in AEW has been tumultuous to say the least, largely thanks to Swerve Strickland.

While Page is keen to push forward and reclaim the AEW World Championship, there’s someone he can’t leave behind. Despite the urging of Will Ospreay, Page and Swerve Strickland remain at loggerheads, with the hatred between the pair built up over the years proving too deep to get over.
During a new interview with Raj Prashad of Yahoo Uncrowned, Page discussed his rivalry with Strickland and ongoing quest to become World Champion.
AEW’s resident cowboy described Strickland as “one of the worst humans I’ve ever met,” but was still forced to praise his passion for AEW and professional wrestling.
“While I can say that [Strickland is] one of the worst humans that I’ve ever met or encountered in any way, I won’t take away his wrestling ability, his passion, his desire for not just pro wrestling, but for AEW,
So in some ways I’m appreciative of what I’ve been through and the ways that it’s shaped me, as much as it has destroyed a large portion of my life.”
Following Double or Nothing, it was reported that Tony Khan made a late decision over who would win the Owen Hart Cup. According to the report, Page was only informed he was going to win on the weekend of the show.
Interestingly, behind the scenes, Page had advocated for Will Ospreay to win, while the British star is said to have pitched for Page to win.
