Adam Copeland Faces Unlikely AEW Star In First Match Back
Adam Copeland is returning to the ring for the first time in 4 months for a first-time ever match on AEW Dynamite.
Adam Copeland made his huge return to AEW at All In Texas to deal with the aftermath of the AEW World Tag Team Championship match. The Hurt Syndicate retained the title against The Patriarchy and JetSpeed while FTR watched on from the commentary table.
After the bout, Nick Wayne turned on Christian Cage, dropping his “father” with his own Kill Switch. FTR stood by as Wayne and Kip Sabian looked to take Cage out with a con-chair-to.
That’s when Copeland made his presence felt, but he has since made clear he wasn’t coming to his old partner’s aid but instead was going after FTR, who turned on him back at Dynasty in April.
Adam Copeland vs. Stokely Hathaway Made For AEW Dynamite
Stokely Hathaway informed Cope that after he brought Spike to the ring at All In, several complaints were made, and if he goes anywhere near FTR, he will be fired. Unfortunately for Stokely, he forgot to get the same protection for himself and ended up being the victim of a spear.
And things are about to get worse for Stokely.
On the August 6th edition of Dynamite, Adam Copeland told the world he’d spoken to Tony Khan and, for the first time ever, he will take on Stokely Hathaway on the next episode of Dynamite. Cope told FTR it was up to them if they wanted to break their protection order or leave Stokely to get slaughtered.
