Adam Copeland Issues Challenge To Top AEW Star

Adam Copeland making AEW debut

Adam Copeland has signalled his intentions by challenging a reigning AEW Champion to a huge title bout.

‘The Rated R Superstar’ has been locked in a feud with Christian Cage, Killswitch and Nick Wayne since his shock debut at AEW WrestleDream on 1st October.

Copeland joined forces with Darby Allin and Sting to defeat the devious trio at AEW Full Gear on 18th November in Los Angeles and now has his sights set on Christian Cage’s AEW TNT Championship.

The pair have a storied lifelong history together that now looks set to add a new chapter should Cage accept his former tag team partner’s challenge.

Former WWE Champion Copeland issued the challenge on the November 25th edition of AEW Collision, excusing interviewer Lexy Nair before delivering a passionate statement:

“You know what I have to say? I’m coming straight down the barrel to you, Jay. Or should I call you Christian Cage? Or better yet should I call you the Patriarch now? All of this, what just happened to Nick Wayne on Wednesday, what just happened to Killswitch, it’s all because of your insecurity!

You couldn’t get past your own ego, could you, man? The night I got here, you were about to con-chair-to Sting. Last Wednesday, you were about to have Killswitch con-chair-to Nick Wayne. You know I’ve got a short fuse. You said you were going to break my neck while my children looked at me. You’re not just threatening me and my future, you’re threatening theirs.

Now I’m hunting you. I’ve already got two heads on my wall. I’m going to change your soul. I’m going to kick your face in. I am going to take your TNT Title because it’s the most important thing in your world.”

Adam Copeland Demands TNT Title Match In Montreal

Copeland would go on to name the time and the place challenge, which is fittingly in the home country of both he and his former best friend:

“I am challenging you. Dynamite, December 6th, Montreal, Adam Copeland versus Christian Cage for the TNT Championship.

And I am going to go places you can’t go, and you haven’t been to because you don’t have that dog in you. I am going to take your TNT Title!”
