Adam Cole Names “Huge Factors” That Brought Him To AEW

Adam Cole

AEW star Adam Cole has discussed the huge factors that helped him make his decision to leave WWE and head for the world of All Elite.

Adam Cole’s time in WWE came to an end when he competed on NXT TakeOver 36, losing to his former Undisputed ERA teammate Kyle O’Reilly. Just a few short weeks later, Cole made his debut for AEW as he surprised everyone at the end of the All Out show, joining up with his former Bullert Club teammates The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Adam Cole said he had a great experience in NXT but having his friends and his partner in AEW helped him decide that a move was right for him:

“I had a wonderful experience working in NXT with Triple H and Shawn Michaels. I learned so much from them and it was an absolute joy to be there. All the coaches, everyone. I learned a lot being there and grew as a performer.”

“And then looking at AEW, once again, Britt being there was a huge factor, my friends being there was a huge factor, the audience being so rabid and so wild. Every single week looked so exciting and [it was] something I wanted to be involved in.”

Adam Cole also explained that he suffered memory loss during a match before he missed several months from the ring due to concussion issues.
