Adam Cole Names AEW Star That Gets Him Excited

One particular AEW star is getting Adam Cole excited about the future.

Adam Cole has endured something of a stop-start run in AEW to date, having already dealt with two serious injuries since joining the company in September 2021.

The former NXT Champion made his most recent comeback at WrestleDream where he chased off long-time rival MJF when he looked to attack Daniel Garcia. It was then announced that Cole would be able to face MJF at Full Gear if he could notch up three wins quicker than Roderick Strong.

However, it was Strong that hit the target first, and as such he got the chance to wrestle MJF at the event — even if that effort ended in defeat.

Adam Cole Tips Hat To New Champion

While Cole didn’t even make it to Full Gear, Daniel Garcia enjoyed one of the biggest nights of his young career, seeing off Jack Perry to claim the TNT Title. The victory came just a few short weeks after Garcia committed his future to AEW by signing a new contract despite heavy interest from WWE.

During a new interview with Q101, Cole talked up Garcia, describing him as “unbelievably talented.”

“Daniel Garcia is a big one for me. I think he is just unbelievably talented, so so good. Whether it’s in the ring, on the microphone, he has a hunger to want to be better and want to be as good as humanly possible. He really is, it’s amazing to watch his development. Danny Garcia definitely gets me really excited thinking about the future of AEW, he’s one that comes to mind.”

Following Full Gear, Daniel Garcia announced he would be taking part in the Continental Classic. The tournament will kick off with three matches on the November 27th edition of Dynamite, with Darby Allin taking on Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli facing Ricochet, and Shelton Benjamin going one-on-one with Mark Briscoe.
