Adam Cole’s Current Injury Leaving People “Very Concerned”
Adam Cole has been away from an AEW ring for a while now, and it would seem there’s concern over how long his recovery is taking.
The last time Adam Cole was in active competition was when he competed in a fatal four-way match at Forbidden Door, where he went up against ‘The Rainmaker’ Kazuchika Okada, ‘Switchblade’ Jay White and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page.
Cole took the fall from White in the match, although it seemed like he tried to kick out and there were soon reports that he had actually been injured during the match. He hasn’t returned to action since, meaning he’s already been on the shelf for five months with a serious concussion.
Speaking about his recovery on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that there is concern over how his recovery is going.
Adam Cole’s situation was never asked about, but it’s very concerning since he’s been out since 6/26 in the four-way IWGP title match with Adam Page, Jay White and Kazuchika Okada. A number of people have brought up being very concerned for him.
Dave Meltzer noted last month that Adam Cole’s return to action “could be tomorrow, could be never” and the longer everything goes on, the more concern there will obviously be about how capable he will be to get back in the ring.
Obviously, everyone at TJRWrestling and in the wider wrestling community hopes Cole is back in action as soon as he is physically capable and ready to do so.
