Active WWE Star “Semi Retired” At Just 28

One WWE star has joked about being semi-retired from the ring, despite being just 28 years old.

Wrestling fans have long been used to the fact that retirement rarely means that in the industry. Terry Funk first retired from the ring in 1983 and continued to wrestle for decades afterwards. Shawn Michaels was tempted out of his long-held retirement by the riches of Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel in 2018 for his ill-fated tag team match with Triple H against The Undertaker and Kane.

John Cena now has just one match left of his WWE career before he hangs up the jorts for good. Cena will compete in his final bout on December 13th at Saturday Night’s Main Event and now knows that he’ll be going up against either Gunther or LA Knight.

But one star who is very much not on the radar to be announcing their retirement has joked about being “semi-retired.”

Tyler Bate Semi-Retired From WWE?

28-year-old WWE star Tyler Bate took to social media to share a photo of himself relaxing on the beach, along with the caption:

enjoying semi-retirement 🍸🏝️

WWE fans might be forgiven for thinking that Bate is in semi-retirement, as he has not been seen as himself on TV since May. The English star has since re-emerged as Bravo Americano, part of the Los Americanos group with Rayo Americano (Pete Dunne) and El Grande Americano (Ludwig Kaiser).
