Absent WWE Star Sends Warning To CM Punk
CM Punk isn’t safe with even an injured WWE star threatening to take him out.
When Monday Night Raw finally premiered on Netflix, viewers both new and old got to see CM Punk pin Seth Rollins in the main event. The pair have a rivalry stretching back years, and Rollins openly said he didn’t want Punk back in WWE while he was with AEW.
While the stars were out for the episode, one of the company’s biggest names was on the outside looking in.
At Survivor Series, Bronson Reed suffered a serious injury while jumping from the top of the WarGames double cage. As a result of the subsequent surgery, Reed hasn’t been seen on television since, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t keeping an eye on the red brand.
During an interview with Netflix, Reed called for a match against CM Punk, while also putting the likes of Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and John Cena on notice.
“I can beat CM Punk, given the match. If I hit him with the Tsunami, his frail, old body will not last. So, CM Punk’s at the top of the list, but I’ve also got unfinished business with Seth Rollins, and the undisputed Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. I feel like I’m the perfect opponent for John Cena. If you’ve watched his career, he’s always been fighting big monsters and trying to conquer them. I feel like I’m the final monster for him to overcome,”
Bronson Reed To Miss WWE WrestleMania
In the months since Survivor Series, the true extent of Bronson Reed’s devastating injury has been revealed. While it was initially believed that Reed had suffered a fracture to his ankle or his foot, the truth is much more serious.
In a recent post on social media, Reed explained he’d “smashed his talus bone,” and needed to have bone marrow taken from his hip and put into his foot.
Let’s clear up some things. Dirt sheets report ankle fracture or injury. I unfortunately smashed my talus bone completely in half, I had it surgically repaired with screws and fragments taken out. Also had some bone marrow taken from my hip and put into my foot.
Now this means I won’t be at Raw Netflix Premiere, don’t expect a rumble surprise, and the biggest loss is no mania. Please keep up with me on social media at this time. Understand I’ve had a serious injury, undergone serious surgery, and have serious implications from that. It’s not merely a fracture!
Prior to Reed’s comments, it had already been confirmed that he’ll miss WrestleMania 41.
