Absent WWE Star Sends Threat To The Rest Of The Locker Room
One absent WWE Raw star is putting the locker room on notice.
Though he recently faced Cameron Grimes in a SmackDown dark match, Odyssey Jones hasn’t wrestled on television since facing Dijak on the April 4th episode of NXT.
Jones signed with WWE in 2019 and impressed those at the Performance Center when he set an 800lb trap bar deadlift record, breaking the previous record of 775lbs that was set by Otis. A former Syracuse football player, Jones wrestled a handful of matches before taking a year-long hiatus from the ring.
He adopted his ring name when he re-debuted in 2021, and wrestled regularly on the now-defunct 205 Live as well as NXT and later Level Up. He suffered a patella injury in January of 2022 that required surgery, and made his return to NXT the following October.
Odyssey Jones Has A Message For The WWE Locker Room
As part of the 2023 Draft, Jones was drafted to Raw, but he has yet to make an in-ring appearance on the red brand. According to a recent tweet, however, he seems ready to change that.
Taking to social media on June 24th, Jones made it clear that he’s done waiting in the shadows and is ready to put the entire locker room on notice. Jones wrote:
“Always good never great that ends today. I’m coming for everyone in the WWE!!!”
