Absent WWE Star Not Expected Back
It doesn’t look like a full WWE return is going to pan out for Bo Dallas following the tragic death of his brother Bray Wyatt.
Bray Wyatt returned to WWE in October 2022 following over a year out of the company after his original release in the summer of 2021. Wyatt’s return was heavily hyped on WWE television without his name ever being mentioned before his re-debut at the end of the Extreme Rules event.
Wyatt moved away from his previous incarnation of The Fiend but his Firefly Funhouse characters were still seen as was the mysterious Uncle Howdy. Howdy had both hurt and helped Wyatt during his time back in the company but when Wyatt was unexpectedly taken off TV before WrestleMania 39, Howdy disappeared with him.
Tragically, Bray Wyatt never returned to WWE television as he passed away due to a heart attack at the age of just 36 on August 24th, 2023.
Bo Dallas not expected to return to WWE
Bo Dallas was the man behind the mask as Uncle Howdy in WWE, marking his own return to the company after his release in April 2021. It was never revealed that Howdy was being portrayed by Wyatt’s brother on television and it remains unknown how the story would have played out.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about Bo Dallas’ status in the company going forward and noted he doesn’t expect him back:
“I think he’s done. The only reason he was even being used was as a favour to Bray Wyatt so I mean it’s possible they’ll use him but I don’t expect him to be back.”
Despite being released in 2021, Bo Dallas’ last match in WWE actually came on a live event all the way back in November 2019. Dallas teamed with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode on that occasion in a defeat against Shorty G – Chad Gable – and The Lucha House Party.
