Absent AEW Star’s Contract Length Revealed

Former TNT Champion Miro has not competed in AEW since September 2022 and only had four matches in that entire year as his career in the company came crashing to a halt.

While there have been suggestions that some AEW stars are trying to find a way out of the company, it doesn’t look like Miro – despite his lack of matches – is going anywhere for a while.

Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter how long the star has left on his AEW deal:

“Tony Khan had pitched an idea for him in September for Full Gear. One thing he turned down was losing a Battle Royal where he and Adam Page would have been the last two.

“Khan had said that after the PPV they’d try and get back and obviously his name hasn’t been mentioned since. He has about three years left on his contract.”

Hangman Adam Page won the Golden Ticket Battle Royal in September 2022 at Grand Slam Rampage where he and Rush were the last two competitors. Page’s win led him to his AEW World Title match in October against Jon Moxley which led to an injury that kept him out of action for three months.

Unconfirmed reports online have suggested that the plan Tony Khan for Miro at Full Gear would have seen him lose to current TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs was part of the three-way match for the TNT Title at that event which Samoa Joe won.
