Absent AEW Star Not Close To In-Ring Return

A new report has given an update on several injured AEW stars.

On the November 9th edition of Collision, a creepy new vignette aired for Julia Hart. In the video, Hart kills her former cheerleader persona with a bow and arrow.

The star has been out of action since suffering a shoulder injury back in April that required surgery. However, it seems she’ll be back in the ring very soon.

Meanwhile, Kenny Omega is closer than ever to a comeback after being diagnosed with diverticulitis in December 2023. Omega recently made an appearance at NJPW Power Struggle where he discussed a return to action against one of the company’s young stars.

After the promo, Omega was attacked by Gabe Kidd, seemingly setting up a match between the pair, although no official announcement has been made.

However, there’s been some mixed news on several other absent AEW stars.

Mixed News On Injured AEW Stars

On the July 20th episode of Collision, Skye Blue took on Hikaru Shida, but the match came to a quick and unfortunate end.

During the bout, Shida hit a crossbody from the ring apron to the floor, but as she landed on Blue, the latter’s ankle appeared to buckle underneath her. After the star was checked by the referee, the match was waved off, and she was helped backstage by officials.

It was later confirmed that Skye Blue had broken her ankle.

Although Blue has since appeared on the All Out pre-show, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that it’ll be a “while” before she’s back in the ring. By contrast, Cole Karter, who broke his arm earlier in the year, has been cleared or is very close to being cleared to make his return.

The report added that the concussion Willow Nightingale suffered back in October caused “tentative creative plans” to be delayed.
