Absent AEW Star Nearing In-Ring Return
One star who hasn’t been seen in months is on her way back to AEW and has even been backstage at recent shows.
The Bunny hasn’t wrestled since the February 8th episode of Dynamite, when she lost to then-AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter. During the bout, Bunny suffered a broken orbital bone, taking her out of action for the foreseeable future.
Back in June, the star’s on-screen ally The Butcher gave an update on her condition on Josh Nason’s Punch-Out Podcast, saying:
“She (The Bunny) hurt her orbital. She like broke her orbital and yeah, she’s doing really good. I’m sure she’s gonna be back soon. That’s the thing is when something like that — I think she came from an injury too so she was injured for a bit then had a couple matches and got injured.
“That’s gotta crush your confidence, you know what I mean? But the good thing is since she’s been gone, we’ve been kind of building this new little faction thing up and so when she comes back, it’ll be awesome.” (h/t POST Wrestling)
The Bunny Has Been Backstage At Recent AEW Television Tapings
According to a new report from Fightful Select, the star also known as Allie is nearing a return to in-ring competition. The report notes that she’s been backstage at recent television tapings, but has not yet been accompanying The Butcher & The Blade to the ring for their matches.
Continuing, the report states that she’s made multiple meet and greet appearances for Smash Wrestling, an independent promotion based in her hometown of Toronto, ON. It was at one of these events that those involved with the show learned she is working her way toward an in-ring return soon.
Meanwhile, her most recent opponent Jamie Hayter is also out of action with an injury and there is currently no timetable for her return.
