AEW star Ricky Starks has confirmed that he is still under contract with company.

The 34 year-old made his debut for Tony Khan’s organisation on the 17th June 2020 edition of AEW Dynamite, answering an open challenge from then-AEW TNT Champion Cody Rhodes.

Starks was unsuccessful on that occasion but has gone on to capture multiple titles during his stint with the company, including the FTW Championship, AEW World Tag Team Championship and the 2023 Owen Hart Cup.

He has been conspicuous by his absence as of late, however, having not competed in an AEW ring since teaming with Big BIll in a losing effort against Top Flight on March 30th 2024.

Speculation about Starks’ contractual status has been rife, but he recently confirmed he was still under contract during an interview with Joe Roderick of Claibs Online:

“Correct, yes. Yes, I am.”

Whilst it remains unclear when, or if, Starks will return to AEW action he is set to compete against Kody Lane at Glory Pro’s WrestlePocalypse event on 24th November.
