“It Was A Pleasure” – Ex-WWE Star Officially Bids Goodbye To Wrestling
A former WWE star has waved goodbye to wrestling after retiring from the business.
TNA Emergence saw WWE star Trick Williams retain the TNA World Championship in the main event against Moose. The Hardys also kept hold of their TNA Tag Team Title against The Rascalz in a good night for the promotion’s champions, as no titles changed hands.
In a Baltimore Street Fight, ex-AEW star Mike Santana clashed with Sami Callihan, with Santana picking up the win. The match was Callihan’s retirement bout, and Santana left his opponent to soak up the ovation from the assembled fans as he waved goodbye to wrestling.
Taking to social media, Sami Callihan has now broken his silence on leaving the wrestling industry as he wrote:
Everything good in my life is because of wrestling. It’s was a pleasure. On to the next chapter.

When Was Sami Callihan In WWE?
Sami Callihan will best be known for his runs in TNA, where he held the TNA World Championship on one occasion. Callihan defeated Brian Cage for the gold in October 2019 before losing it just 79 days later to Tessa Blanchard.
The CZW mainstay joined WWE in 2013 as the mysterious hacker Solomon Crowe on the NXT brand. There, he shared the ring with the likes of Xavier Woods, Juice Robinson, KENTA, Kevin Owens, and Finn Balor before he left the company in late 2015.
TNA and WWE’s partnership has seen the two promotions swapping talent throughout 2025, leading to NXT star Trick Williams winning the TNA World Title and reigning NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne capturing the TNA Knockouts Title from Masha Slamovich to become a double champion.
