“A Lot Of Truth” In MJF Comments About AEW Roster
An AEW commentator has spoken up in support of MJF.
Although he’s flirted with WWE very publicly in the past, MJF has become something of an AEW stalwart, having signed with the company back in January 2019. Since then, the star has become one of the company’s biggest names, while feuding with the likes of Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, CM Punk, and more on the way to World Championship gold.
MJF’s longevity means that he’s already seen many stars come and go as they tried to make an impact. This played into a series of recent comments where he said that AEW isn’t a place to “cash a check and expect to be World Champion,” telling everyone that they need to work to find any success.
Jim Ross Endorses MJF
During the latest edition of his Grilling JR podcast, commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross backed MJF’s comments. The veteran said that while the former World Champion can be blunt, he’s got the balls to say what he feels. Ross added that he applauded the statements about the roster.
“A lot of truth. There’s a lot of lot of truth there. He’s very blunt and cuts to the chase, very outspoken. But he’s very intelligent young man, so I applaud what he says. It has a it has the balls to say it, because in some circles, that’ll get your ass in trouble. But he’s a good representative of that, and I expect him to be a vocal leader in AEW, for years to come.”
MJF will be back in action at All In, where he’ll take part in the Casino Gauntlet Match. The Salt of the Earth has promised to challenge Jon Moxley immediately if he wins the match and earns a shot at the World Championship.
