7-Time WWE Champion May Cost Stephanie Vaquer Wrestlepalooza Title Match

Stephanie Vaquer is looking to win her first title on the main roster this Saturday at WWE Wrestlepalooza.

La Primera made her main roster debut earlier this year after WrestleMania 41. She has since become one of Monday Night RAW’s top female superstars.

At Evolution, the 32-year-old won a Battle Royal to earn a shot at the Women’s World Championship. While she was supposed to face the winner of the RAW title match between Naomi and IYO SKY at Clash in Paris, plans changed after The Glow announced her pregnancy and relinquished her title.

RAW General Manager Adam Pearce later announced that IYO SKY would fight Vaquer for the vacant Women’s World Championship at Wrestlepalooza.

Ex-WWE Star Says Outside Interference Could Cost Stephanie Vaquer Her Title Opportunity

Last Monday on RAW, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Kairi Sane. After the match, she was confronted by Asuka before IYO SKY interfered to stop The Empress of Tomorrow from getting physical with La Primera.

Speaking on the Rebooked podcast, former WWE star Matthew Rehwoldt (FKA Aiden English) discussed the upcoming Women’s World Title match. He predicted a scenario where Asuka would cost Vaquer the match without SKY noticing. The Genius of the Sky previously asked The Empress of Tomorrow and Sane not to interfere in her match against the former NXT Women’s Champion.

They’ve teased some tension with Asuka and Stephanie Vaquer, and a little bit with IYO. So, like, I’m wondering, like, IYO came out to stop Asuka from confronting Stephanie Vaquer.

So, I’m wondering, is there could be a scenario where maybe Asuka costs Vaquer the title for IYO, but maybe IYO is unaware. Like, IYO’s kinda knocked outside, Asuka does something, IYO comes too and it’s like, ‘Oh, here we go,’ moonsault, and then later realizes like what the hell was that? Why did you do that? And there’s a little bit of a rift there. There is a world. I just want to, just in case it happens, so we can make a short making it look like we predicted it. [18:33 onwards]
