7-Time WWE Champion Tipped To Be John Cena’s Final Opponent

John Cena’s final opponent can be anyone on the roster, or it can be another returning superstar. No one knows how the Farewell Tour will end.

The Champ has made it clear that he does not handpick his opponents. Usually, he issues open challenges and takes on whoever accepts them. Logan Paul secured the Clash in Paris spot by stepping up to a similar open challenge.

Currently, there is one superstar who has been hinting at retiring The Champ, Drew McIntyre.

WWE can set up John Cena vs. Drew McIntyre following Survivor Series

The global juggernaut has set the date for Survivor Series for November 29th, 2025. If WWE sets up Team Lesnar of heels vs. Team Cena of babyface, it can ideally set up a story for The Champ’s retirement match.

On Notsam Wrestling, Sam Roberts provided a situation in which Drew McIntyre can emerge as Cena’s final match.

If Drew McIntyre is on that villain team, then you can build a scenario where John’s retirement match that comes after Survivor Series, the last one, is John Cena versus Drew McIntyre.

He also noted that Cena couldn’t continue to take losses ahead of his retirement match.

And that’s where you get the John Cena loss. That’s where you get Drew McIntyre taking the dub because you can’t like you can’t have John Cena lose a bunch of matches.

Currently, Cena is preparing to face Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza. To make matters intense, Brock Lesnar destroyed Ron Killings on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.
