4-Time WWE Champion Officially A Free Agent
In May 2025, WWE carried out routine budget cuts that saw the release of several notable stars, including the powerful Braun Strowman.
Strowman’s WWE career features two major stints: his first run began in 2013 and lasted until 2021, and he returned in 2022, competing until his release in 2025. During his time with the Stamford-based promotion, he achieved significant success.
He is a former four-time champion, having captured the Universal Championship once, the Intercontinental Championship once, and the RAW Tag Team Championship twice. In addition, he won the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in 2018 and triumphed in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2019.
Ex-WWE Star Braun Strowman Is Free To Explore His Options
WWE enforces a no-compete clause for released wrestlers, which prohibits them from appearing in rival wrestling promotions for a designated period, usually 90 days. Since Strowman was released in May, his no-compete clause has expired, making him officially a free agent and open to opportunities elsewhere.

Interestingly, despite his release, Strowman remains connected to the Stamford-based promotion through a new television project. Variety reported that he will star in an upcoming show titled Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman, premiering in fall 2025 on the USA Network. The show features him traveling across America, challenging himself to eat every item on various restaurant menus as he journeys across the country.
“Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” is a new food format with a big appetite. Each episode, join WWE Legend Braun Strowman as he eats his way across America, while on the road for WWE, ordering everything on every menu and trying to down every last bite.
“Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman” is produced by WWE Studios and BrightNorth Studios. Paul Levesque, Lee Fitting, Marc Pomarico and Ben Houser executive produce for WWE Studios. Matthew J. Braley, Kevin Duncan, Morgan Hertzan, Pat Dimon, Shawn Efran, and Azadeh De Leon executive produce for BrightNorth Studios.”
