34-Year-Old WWE Star Vows To Win Title On SmackDown

One WWE star has set their sights on winning gold in the company before Wrestlepalooza takes place.

Wrestlepalooza is on the horizon as WWE tries to build another huge show in its bulging calendar. Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre on that show, while John Cena will do battle with his old nemesis Brock Lesnar in Lesnar’s first match in two years.

Things were already incredibly personal between Seth Rollins and CM Punk, but they’ve grown even more so since their wives got involved in their feud. Becky Lynch screwed Punk out of the World Heavyweight Championship at Clash in Paris, leading to AJ Lee making her surprise WWE return after ten years away.

The two power couples will clash in a huge mixed tag team match on September 20th.

But while the focus is on Wrestlepalooza for many, one star is targeting gold on the SmackDown taking place the night before that huge show.

Chelsea Green Wants WWE Gold

At NXT Homecoming, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will put their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line against Tatum Paxley and Izzy Dame. The winners of that bout won’t have long to celebrate, however, as on SmackDown, there will be a title match with Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre challenging for the gold.

And according to Green on social media, it’s only a matter of time until she’s holding gold again:

Green has previously held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Sonya Deville and Piper Niven. Niven replaced Deville during her and Green’s run as champions due to injury.
