Cody Rhodes Makes NSFW Personal Revelation At WWE Live Event

Cody Rhodes WWE

The reigning WWE Undisputed Champion is all set to go a third time.

Cody Rhodes addressed the crowd at the last WWE live event of the year in Detroit on December 30th, 2025.

The American Nightmare joked around and interacted with the crowd, asking them if they had any New Year’s resolutions. He went on to point out that Drew McIntyre had planted a low blow on him before telling his mother-in-law that Cody Rhodes now couldn’t have a third baby with his wife. But Cody says he’s still good to go for a third baby.

Do you guys have New Year’s resolutions? Well, I don’t know if you heard — Drew gave me a low blow and then told my lovely mother-in-law that we couldn’t have a third. Oh no! I think I’m still good to go!

Cody and Brandi Rhodes welcomed their second daughter, Leilani Ella Runnels, in August. Their first daughter, Liberty, was born in 2021. The family shared the good news with a cute post on Instagram

Welcome to the world Leilani Ella Runnels. We are in love. Thank you God for answered prayers. Cody + Brandi + Libby + Lani = ❤️

Cody Rhodes Continues Feud With Drew McIntyre in WWE

On the December 29th episode of SmackDown, tensions flared between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes, who found themselves face-to-face in the ring when Cody interrupted Drew’s insincere apology to referee Dan Engler, who was berated and insulted by the Scottish psychopath.

Cody came into the ring to get a similar kind of personal taunting, but as the stipulation set by McIntyre states, Cody Rhodes cannot lay a finger on him until they meet in their match, else he will be stripped of the WWE Championship. McIntyre negotiated the deal with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis a couple of weeks ago, citing an “unsafe work environment” with The American Nightmare’s regular attacks on him.

McIntyre ended the segment on SmackDown dropping his final stipulation, which is that the two will face each other in a Three Stages Of Hell match in Berlin, Germany, in January.
