3-Time WWE World Champion Returns On RAW After 199 Days
A massive WWE star has returned on RAW after over six months of absence.
After successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against Rusev and Penta at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Dominik Mysterio headed to the ring on tonight’s RAW to cut a promo. He claimed to be the greatest Intercontinental Champion, AAA Mega Campeón, and luchador of all time.
The Judgment Day member’s promo was cut by the surprise return of his father, Rey Mysterio, after 199 days. The WWE Hall of Famer has been absent from TV since April due to injury.
The three-time world champion told his son he looked surprised by his return. He then pointed out that he did not care about Dominik calling himself the greatest champion of all time, but he had an issue with him dubbing himself the king of the luchadores.
Rey Mysterio Sends Clear Message To His Son On WWE RAW
The Master of the 619 accused Dirty Dom of insulting their family, their name, and their blood. He asked him if he thought he was better than El Santo, Blue Demon, and Eddie Guerrero. The Judgment Day member claimed he was. He also told his father that he knew for a fact that he was better than him.
Rey responded by telling him that he would tolerate the disrespect against him, but not lucha libre. When the WWE Hall of Famer took off his jacket, Dirty Dom dared him to do anything. The Intercontinental Champion claimed his father was jealous and even accused him of stealing his mustache.
The 28-year-old alleged that his father was there to cash in after he made the Mysterio name relevant. Dominik then shockingly stated that he had surpassed everything Rey had ever done. The Judgment Day member then asked his father if he wanted him to beat him up again, advising him to leave the ring.
Rey told Dominik that he would leave, but after telling him that he would never be the king of luchadores, the ring would never be his, and he would never be the greatest Mysterio as long as he is around.
I’m gonna leave. But before I leave, understand three things. As long as I’m around, you’ll never be king of the luchadores. As long as I’m around this will never be your ring. And as long as I’m around, you’ll never be the greatest Mysterio.
Dominik then tried to attack his father, but Rey countered and hit Dirty Dom with a 619. The Intercontinental Champion then retreated.
