3-Time WWE Champion Teases Return After AEW Exit

A 3-time WWE champion could be heading back to WWE.

Saraya, formerly known as Paige in the Stamford-based promotion, is a three-time champion (1-time NXT Champion and 2-time Divas Champion) under the company’s banner and one of the cornerstones of the Women’s Evolution. She debuted in 2014 and shocked the world by defeating AJ Lee on her first night to win the Divas Championship.

Her fearless attitude and unconventional style quickly made her a standout in a division that was on the verge of major change. Unfortunately, her in-ring career in the Triple-H-led promotion was cut short due to a serious neck injury, forcing her into a non-wrestling role.

In 2022, Saraya made her return to active competition, not in WWE, but in AEW. She debuted to a huge ovation and later won the AEW Women’s World Championship in 2023. While her run in AEW had its moments, it never quite reached the level fans had hoped for.

Earlier this year, she quietly parted ways with the company, leaving her next move wide open. That said, The Anti-Diva recently took to X/Twitter and seemingly teased a return to the Stamford-based promotion.

She wrote, “Evolution is this weekend?”

It was a short but powerful tweet that immediately sent the wrestling world into speculation mode. The comment, while casual on the surface, has many fans convinced she may be hinting at a return during WWE’s Evolution 2, scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Now, with Evolution right around the corner and Saraya stirring the pot online, the timing feels right. A WWE return would be massive, not just as a nostalgia pop, but as a chance for erstwhile Paige to close the loop on a career that many felt ended too soon in the Stamford-based promotion.
