3 Hour WWE Raw Runtime Still Up In The Air On Netflix

Triple H WWE Raw

WWE Raw will be a two-hour show for the rest of 2024 but despite suggestions that it will return to three hours on Netflix, things remain up in the air.

During Raw in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Joe Tessitore confirmed that beginning on October 7th, WWE’s flagship show would revert to a two-hour broadcast beginning at its usual time of 8 pm ET. The cutting of the third hour will remain in place until Raw’s final edition on the USA Network which will take place on December 30th.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the show will revert to a three-hour runtime when Raw moves to Netflix on January 6th 2025. Meltzer also noted that the switch to a two-hour show was a USA Network call rather than WWE.

But that three-hour option on Netflix might not be as cut and dry as first thought.

Netflix Leaving Options Open For WWE Raw

Speaking on Figure Four Daily, Bryan Alvarez noted that while Raw may well end up a three-hour show on Netflix, the streaming giant is offering flexibility for potentially shorter shows:

Dave [Meltzer] did ask WWE and they did respond that the show will be three hours on Netflix but I did hear from someone else in WWE and their belief was that it’s not guaranteed to be three hours. They will have a window and it could be two hours, it could be two hours ten minutes, it could be two hours twenty-three minutes, it may go all the way to three [hours]. It’s to be determined.

One thing for sure is when Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee will return to the announce desk displacing the temporary announce team of Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett.
