3 AEW Contracts Expiring In August

The AEW roster could become lighter again in August with a major name among three stars whose contracts are set to expire soon.

AEW recently lost its glamour as Mariah May made the jump to WWE, where she has since been rechristened as Blake Monroe in NXT. Monroe’s jump across wrestling’s divide is the latest of many in recent months that have seen the likes of Penta, Rey Fenix, Aleister Black, and Rusev all leave AEW behind for WWE.

Now, Bodyslam has reported that three AEW stars have contracts expiring in August 2025. Among the three are Matt Menard and Angelo Parker, who are best known for their time in the Jericho Appreciation Society. Parker and Menard have only had four matches in 2025, but Menard frequently appears as a commentator in the company.

Renee Paquette Leaving AEW?

On the broadcast side of the company, Renee Paquette’s contract is also said to be expiring in August, although she has two deals with the company as both a producer and a talent. Paquette is the company’s lead backstage interviewer, having joined All Elite Wrestling in 2022.

Paquette had previously been known as Renee Young during her eight-year stint with WWE, which came to an end in 2020. In her time with WWE, she became the first regular female commentator in the history of Monday Night Raw.
