21-Year-Old WWE Star Suffers Painful Facial Injury At Live Event

WWE logo over blurred Thea Hail

One WWE star was left needing medical attention after they suffered an injury to their face at a recent live event.

Despite being just 21 years old, Thea Hail has made an impressive name for herself since signing with WWE in 2022. As part of Chase University, Hail has risen through the ranks to become an integral part of the NXT women’s division.

After failing to win the NXT Women’s Championship at the 2024 Great American Bash, Thea Hail missed nine months from TV as Chase U ended up closing. Since her return in April 2025, Hail has forged her own path, although in ring success has been hard to come by.

Now at a live event in Lakeland, Hail lost out to WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong. But she was it more than just the taste of defeat that Hail felt.

Taking to social media, Thea Hail shared several images of the aftermath of the match, which left her with a bloodied lip that required stitches to fix.

WWE Star Claims To Have Suffered An Injured Neck

While Hail might be able to step back in the ring relatively quickly after her injury issues, one WWE star might not be so lucky. Or that’s what they’d have you think.

Xavier Woods has claimed to have suffered a serious neck injury after being on the receiving end of the Mexican Destroyer in a match with Penta. Woods has claimed that his New Day partner Kofi Kingston will avenge his neck issues as he takes on Penta on the August 25th edition of Raw.
